New best buds

I feel like this is the beginning of a long and happy friendship. They were absolutely adorable all night long. Easton would get excited about Champ and go right up to him... then freak out a little bit and push him away. Pretty much all night... and it was so cute! I HATE that I grew up afraid of dogs and I really don't want that for my kids. I really hope he learns to love dogs just as much as his dad.

I know that Champ is sure going to love Easton at meal times! Easton was already getting a kick out of feeding him.

We had to make sure not to interupt this serious business.... Fantasy Football Draft!

When Easton wasn't playing with Champ, he was climbing up this step. You can totally see the look of accomplishment in his eye when he makes it up. SO CUTE.

Date Night!

Saturday night was the first time in a very long time that Casey and I actually felt a little bored. We went on a nice bike ride in the morning and then didn't have any plans for the rest of the day! We have always said that one day we would cruise downtown Provo and go into all the funky looking shops. We went to an antique store, a few pawn shops and a thrift store. Then we went into an animal store... which was probably my favorite because Easton seemed fascinated. We've heard that there's somewhere in downtown Provo that has amazing taco's... so we decided to try this place out (Rocco's). I don't think its the place that we've heard about... but Casey liked it a lot! It was a nice night out on the town :)

10 Months

This cute little guy is officially 10 months old today! Can't believe how fast this is going! I love you, Easton!!

My new obsession

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike!!!

I'm totally loving this! I think the reasons why I love it so much is because its a work out that I like (unlike running) that I can even do WITH Easton and he loves it. For those of you who know Provo... I've been riding the hill that goes from Movies 8 to the mall. I feel like that is the perfect little work out and I feel so good about myself once I get to the top! Easton hates his helmet... but once I get going I think this little guy could ride forever! We just bought a car bike rack so now we can hit up some fun trails. Can't wait!

WELCOME HOME, Hansons!

SO SO SO stinking EXCITED that the Hanson's are back from Philly. Mike had his internship there over the summer. Never ever leave again, Okay?

I sure missed this cute little one!!

Welcome, Corver!

We have this tradition that when one of our friends has a baby, we bring them dinner... which is really our way of saying "We'll bring you food if you let us meet your new little one". I was almost in shock with how small Corver was... and he was a very healthy 8 pounds! I can't believe Easton was even smaller than that once upon a time! He was absolutely beautiful! And of coarse... so was Becca 4 days after having a baby!

Baseball

With a name like Easton, your first baseball is kind of a big deal! Lucky for us, we even got to enjoy it with his grandma and grandpa, and Dad's team won both games! No... we didn't make it to the end of the second game, but had a blast while it lasted :). GO DADDY!

Easton sure loves his grandma and grandpa. I'm sure it's because he can tell how much they love him.

10 Months

I can't believe that Easton is almost 10 months!! This has gone by so fast! I wanted to write down some things about him right now cause I know i'll forget. Here is a typical day for my little guy:

He wakes up about 6:30 - 7. Despite our efforts to wait until the very last minute at night to change his diaper, he pretty much wakes up wet every morning. Someone suggested we try to put the diaper backwards to help and we will be trying that soon... but apparently the kid pees a lot at night. Then comes one of my favorite parts of the day. We bring him back into our bed and give him his bottle. He's so happy to have it and lays there peacefully next to us drinking it. Then by the time his bottle is gone, he realises he's sitting next to dad. You can tell by the look on Easton's face that he thinks Casey is the about the coolest EVER. He starts to giggle just at the sight of him. Then as Casey and I slowly wake up to our little guy trying to play with us, we realize we really need to get out of bed and get ready for the day.

Then I take Easton to daycare. WORST part of my day. Especially now that he digs his claws into my clothes when we walk into the room and he realizes I am passing him off. I know he loves daycare and does great there when I'm not around... but the look of pure betrayal he has on his face breaks my heart everyday. Even though my milk dried up and I stopped nursing him around 9 months... I still use my lunch break to go visit him every day. All morning at work I look foward to when I can go visit him. I give him his bottle and just play with him.

When I get off work around 5, I go pick Easton up and we go home to make dinner and see Dad. Once again... Easton lights up when Casey walks in. We have had to baby proof our house because Easton is scooting all over! Everyone told me that I would hate it when Easton learned to crawl cause I would have to keep my eye on him and I would totally lose my freedom. I think the opposite has happened! Just as long as I set up my barrades to keep him confined, he can go from one end of the room to the other playing with his toys for hours!! Before he would get bored and I would have to move him or hold him... but now he can just play and play. It's been wonderful. After eating dinner and playing around for a bit... doing any activity we may have that night, we normally put Easton to bed around 7-7:30. He drinks his bottle, I swaddle him and sing him a song or two, put him in his crib and he is out.

Now I'm hesitant to put the next bit in writting and totally zinking myself... but we love how healthy of an eater Easton is! I make most of his baby food by pressure cooking vegetables together and then blending them. It seems like lately the more healthy the food is, the more Easton wants it. His last batch of baby food was mostly spinach, and he downs it! He also really likes Gerber treats which i'm sure are not healthy at all. When Easton is done eating tho... he likes to hit the spoon and food goes everywhere. That is super frustrating and I think i'm venturing into the part of parenthood where I'm gonna have to learn how to discipline. I started with screaming NO... and he thought it was funny and would do it even more. I even tried smacking his hand... he also liked that and would do it even more. Now that i've started giving him no reaction its calming down.

Easton loves to go on walks in the stroller, he loves to swim and as of recently, LOVES bike rides. I can't wait to take him on more. Whenever I tell him "I looooove youuuuuu" the way I do... he lights up before I can even get to the word love. He is also incredibly empathetic. Its like he can tell when i'm upset or excited and reacts accordingly.

I love him so much and I can't wait for many more happy moments with my wonderful family.

Flaming Gorge

We had a blast in Flaming Gorge. Even though we didn't get a boat and go tubing like we had originally planned ( all places were completely rented out), we did take a tour of the Flaming Gorge Dam, swim at a beach, go fishing and had a good time with family! The picture don't do it justice... it was so pretty!!

We were too scared to bring Easton out no this edge... only it would have been a wonderful family pic!

Easton LOVED the lake. He pretty much giggled anytime the wave came up. It was so cute!

Saturday night we went fishing. It would have been really fun to show Easton a fish... but not only did we not end up catching any, but Easton was asleep the whole time. It was so peaceful and relaxing up there!

Oh, and Michele and I had to take a little trip into Wyoming to a bar that was open late at night cause somebody (me) forgot the eggs for our omelletes in the morning! So glad they had some eggs they would sell us... otherwise breakfast would have been interesting!
