So us Godfrey girls had a really hard time naming our girly get-togethers. Apparently there are some pretty picky people when it comes to naming what we call it when we spend time together. First it was "Girls Time Out", but then someone felt like they were a child being put in time out. Then we were calling it "Girly Week", but then that is what my grandma and her sisters call it, and my mom wanted something different for our family. Then "Girls Bondage" was more of just a joke. Regardless, I had a really good time with my sisters his past weekend.
We went to Park City for the parade of homes. When we got there on friday the first thing we did was go shopping. That was halarious- most of us have different taste, different budgets and some just plain old hates shopping. Regardless, I think it went pretty well. Then for dinner we went to the Park City Medical Center cafeteria. Yep- we are in Park City and that's the hospital is the winner. Michele had eaten there quite a bit and apparently the chef there is really great. The cafeteria is extremely health oriented, which was kinda perfect for our family. I don't think i'd choose the hospital over loco lizard or schewan (i think that's how you spell it) on my next trip to PC, but it was pretty good. After dinner we went back to The Chateaux ( a way nice hotel my mom got for us) and went to the hot tub. It was fun and relaxing.
Then the next morning we went back to the hospital for breakfast and then hit up the parade of homes! This was my first parade of homes and I am kinda disappointed to report I may never to that again. At least never in Park City. I get pretty car sick and going up all the winding roads to get to all the houses, then getting in and out of the car, putting those dang booties on and off... ALL DAY... not my cup of tea. We were all exhausted by mid-day. I don't think it helped that I didn't love the style of the homes. They were all decorated basically the same- dark and neutrals. After a few houses I kinda felt like they were all the same. I much prefer brighter colors, with a lot of white.
I will say though... one day, no matter our financial circumstances, Kc and I will fit a shower with three shower heads into our budget. We could live in a condo forever, as long as we have a shower like this, I think we could be happy. I really feel like that would drastically improve our qaulity of life.

When my mom booked the hotel, she also got dinner for two at the Cena, the restaurant in the hotel. It was super fancy. Because Julie and Andrea are on diets, and my mom looked at the menu and didnt want anything (it was a lot of cheese which she is allergic to and fish which she doesn't like) Michele and I got to go to the restaurant. While it was really nice, I just wasn't all that impressed. For my appetizer I got this pesto/fresh mozerella/tomato salad that was good... but my mother in law makes something similar... but better. Then for my main dish because there was a lack of anything better- I got chicken parmesan which was OK. The noodles just tasted greasy and the tomatoes looked sketchy. I think i'm messed up for life cause I compare every dish to Chicken Marsala from Cheesecake Factory and really- nothing can beat that. After not being very impressed, its a good thing our $80 bill was taken care of by the hotel! Note to self: If i'm ever super rich... remember i'm just as happy - possibly happier- with the smoking apple/texas roadhouse/olive garden and of coarse, CheeseCake Factory.

After dinner on Saturday night, we met back up with Andrea, Julie and my mom who had gone into town and went and got Ice Cream on mainstreet in Park City. After that we went back to the hotel and honestly- basically fell asleep.
A special Thanks to my mom for getting such a nice hotel and putting it all together! It was a fun weekend... no matter what we call it ;)
