His name will be Easton Calvin Houghton. Casey has liked the named Easton since he was a kid and has always wanted to name his first-born son Easton. Calvin is Casey's dad's name and we plan to use our parent's names as middle names for as many as we can. I've heard a lot of people say it's not a good idea to name your kid before they are born because seeing them might change your mind. We are pretty set on Easton so I guess i'm just hoping he comes out an Easton!

Even though it was pretty obvious that it's a boy, we both felt like waiting until our "official" ultrasound at 20 weeks to announce what we are having. So, for the last few weeks i've been writting down a few things that I wanted to remember.
....Right after our 15 week ultrasound where Easton was moving around A LOT:
Nicole: Can Easton PLEASE please play soccer
Casey: No. I prefer the other sports. Only if he doesn't like the other sports.
Nicole. Boo. I like soccer.
Casey: Who do you think is going to be practicing and coaching and playing all these sports with him? Me.
Nicole. Fine. Then I'll teach him how to swim and he will be able to swim circles around you!
Casey: He already can swim better than me in your stomach! And he's not even born yet!
...After Sandra gave us some boy baby clothes:
Casey (looking very distraught): "we are gonna have to organize all these clothes according to age or I won't be able to dress our child!"
Look at those cute slippers!!
...As Casey was telling his buddies that we are having a boy:
Casey: "Do you know what this means!?! This means Little League, Junior Jazz, Football Camp, posterity living on the Houghton name!"
...As we were starting to decorate our nursery:
"We are having a boy. This is my jurisdiction. We will have SPORTS decorations" (don't worry... I had already decided that. Didn't hurt to let Casey think he came up with that one ;)
We had a really good time starting the nursery. When my grandma moved from her house in Preston, Idaho where she had lived pretty much her whole life, she gave us these baseball gloves. We are pretty sure they were my grandpa's... one of them says "WWII" where he served. Either way- they are really old and cool looking. We got these box frames from Hobby Lobby and put them up. It was really cool to have something sentimental on the wall, AND be sports related.
...At our 20 week ultrasound:
Casey was so curious! It was adorable. He had so many questions. The nurse was so nice to explain so much to us. By the end of the ultrasound, the nurse had explained almost every single body part, how ultrasound works, how birth defects are detected... and a lot more.
Since this ultrasound was done in the doctor's office... its a little different than the first two. Instead of a CD with the pictures, I got a print out and had to take a picture of that to be able to post them. And actually, I think we got much better and clearer shots at 15 weeks anyways. (kudos to the student... he had only done a few ultrasounds before). They aren't the best quality in the first place... but I guess with an ultrasound they are hard to read anways, haha. They are also upside down, ohwell.
Arms
Face
Still a BOY :)
Foot. My favorite picture this time around.
Legs
In all three ultrasounds, Easton was moving around A TON (in my third.. the tech couldn't even get the heart beat for very long cause he would move) and he was crossing his legs. Pretty sweet :)
We are pretty excited to be parents in the Houghton home. For father's day I gave Casey a bunch of Cowboy's Football baby stuff. He asked me how I felt about us having a "Cowboy's baby" and I said "I love it. I want him to be just like his dad" :) Also... when he opened the baby Cowboy's slippers he looked at me and said, "no fair, I want a pair". Oh no...
Baby towel, baby bottle, pacifier, bib, slippers.
