Emergency Laparoscopic Appendectomy

It started Friday night with a really bad stomach ache. Casey thought it was because he was really hungry but after downing his Panda Express take-out, the pain wasn't going away. He threw up all Friday and just wasn't getting better. By Saturday morning, we were going to go in but Casey just wanted to sleep. I was at the THRIVE convention all day and we had made dinner plans. When Casey didn't show up for that... and then didn't show up for a THRIVE presentation about an hour later... I knew that we had to suck it up and go to the ER.

It ended up being a good thing that we did because less than three hours later of arrving at the ER, Casey was in surgery to remove his appendix. The doctor told us that it would have ruptured within 24 hours, so it was a really good thing we went in.

Only a nurse would know what to get someone whose in the hospital... thanks Janet!

I declare these hospital cups the "I've been through crap trophy". I got one when I had Easton, and now Casey has his own.

Batman and Robin

This weekend I attended the Thrive Life convention with my sister Julie and her sister in law Jodi. I learned a lot about the company and after being pretty hesistant, Casey and I became a Thrive Life consultants! So here's my blog sales pitch: THRIVE IS AWESOME. I truly became a believer and love pretty much everything that I have tried. If you want to have a party, you can get a ton of free stuff and for people my age that would be a great way to start your own food storage.

The reason why this post is called Batman and Robin is cause that is what some of the executives at the company call Jodi and Julie... basically because they are that awesome.

BasketBall Champs!

Congrats to Casey and his team for being this year's Pleasant Grove basketball champions!!

PARK!!

This is Easton's first time at the park. He just LOVES it outside and loves being with his cousins.

FUN aunt!

I just love hanging with Cole and Livia. They are so dang cute!!

Last week I babysat them. I gave them each shopping lists earlier in the day and they knew what they would be in charge of when we went to the store that night. Cole was in charge of shrimp and stuff for pizza, and Livia was in charge of stuff for cupcakes. She got to pick everything out (strawberry cake mix is her choice). It was probably a halarious site seeing me with two kids who wouldn't let go of my hand, or their basket.

Cole apparently LOVES LOVES LOVES shrimp!
